FibreCoat, an Aachen, Germany-based materials technology company, raised nearly €20M in Series B funding.
Backers included NewSpace Capital, Goose Capital, Nova Saint-Gobain, 212 NexT, Otto Krahn New Business, Convergent Ventures and TiE.
The company intends to use the funds to further its reach in the booming commercial space ecosystem, meet demand for radiation-, heat- and EMI-resistant materials, and drive innovation in the sector.
Led by Dr. Robert Brüll, CEO, FibreCoat provides AluCoat, an aluminum-coated glass fibre offering solutions for EMI shielding, military countermeasures, heating elements, and more, with recyclability and lightweight benefits. Its lightweight, high-performance materials have widespread applications, including for protecting against radiation, heat and electromagnetic interference, making them invaluable for companies in the space and defense sectors, as well as other large industry sectors like automotive and construction.
