Zopa, a London, UK-based digital bank company, raised €80M in Equity funding.

The round was led by A.P. Moller Holding, with participation from existing investors.

The company intends to use the funds to launch its flagship current account in 2025 and its GenAI proposition.  

Led by CEO Jaidev Janardana, Zopa is a digital bank with 20 years of lending expertise, having lent more than £13B to consumers in the UK to date. In 4 years, Zopa has secured its banking license, grown to 1.3 million customers, achieved profitability and launched current accounts, unsecured personal loans, point-of-sale, car finance, credit cards, savings accounts, and tools for improved financial management and health.

Since launching its bank in 2020, Zopa has attracted more than £5B in deposits and currently has £3B loans on balance sheet. It has close to 850 employees and one of the highest employee satisfaction scores in the UK fintech industry.
