BoxTone, Inc., a Columbia, MD-based provider of proactive Mobile Service Management (MSM) software solutions, completed a $7.5m series B funding round with Lazard Technology Partners.This capital infusion will enable the company to accelerate development activities for its enterprise mobility management suite and corporate expansion.
BoxTone’s MSM solution enables enterprises, government agencies and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to centrally manage, secure and support all mobile devices, applications and platforms from a single, unified console.
The software supports Apple iPhone and iPad, BlackBerry, Google Android, Nokia Symbian, Windows Mobile devices, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Microsoft ActiveSync, Good Technology mobile connectivity platforms and a other enterprise mobile applications.
BoxTone recently announced record growth in the first half of fiscal year 2010, registering a more than 40 % increase as compared to the first half of fiscal year 2009. To meet market demand, the company is planning to hire more than 20 new team members by year’s end.
