SolidFire, a Boulder, Colo.-based maker of storage systems for cloud providers, raised $31m in Series C financing.
The round was led by Samsung Ventures, with participation from existing investors New Enterprise Associates, Valhalla Partners and Novak Biddle Venture Partners.
The company, which has now raised $68m in total funding, intends to use the funds to expand sales and marketing resources worldwide.
Led by Founder and CEO Dave Wright, SolidFire is the leader in all-SSD storage systems designed for large scale cloud infrastructure. The just unveiled SF9010, which is an all-SSD storage platform, leverages Samsung’s latest 960GB MLC datacenter-class drives.
Along with the SF9010, The company also released SolidFire Element OS Version 5, which adds VMware VAAI and VASA support, encryption-at-rest , and detailed per-volume and per-tenant performance reporting.
The SF9010 is sold direct and will be available for order September 1, 2013.
