Sparkcentral (formerly known as TwitSpark), a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an enterprise social media helpdesk platform, raised $4.5m in Series A funding.

The round, which broght total funding to date to $5.6m, was led by Sigma West with participation from The Social+Capital Partnership, Graph Ventures, and existing angel investors such as the co-founder of Playfish, Sebastien de Halleux.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate market expansion.
Founded in early 2012 by Davy Kestens, CEO, Sparkcentral provides a customer service platform that enables companies to respond quickly to customers while protecting the company’s brand and reputation using real-time channels. The company currently serves over 30 brands worldwide, including Delta Air Lines and a variety of retail and professional sports brands.
