Achvr, a Boston, MA-based gamified social platform that enables users to discover, track and share experiences, raised $1.25m in seed funding.
Backers included unnamed angel investors.
Co-founded in 2012 by CEO Ryan Traeger and CMO Drew Watson, Achvr allows users to discover activities set goals and earn points to reach them.
The platform, available online and through an iPhone app, works by applying game mechanics to diverse categories of life, including arts & culture, food & drink, sports and travel.
The company has just launched into public beta.
