According to TechCrunch, Prompt.ly, a San Francisco, CA-based SaaS platform for independent service providers to manage, market and monetize their time, raised $1.5m in seed funding.
Backers included Ethan Beard (Facebook) and Subtraction Capital (a fund founded by PayPal’s Jason Portnoy and Paul Willard).
The company will use the funds to continue to develop the platform.
Founded in 2013 by CEO Richard Titus and CTO Eli-Shaoul Khedouri, Prompt.ly provides independent service providers (such as psychologists, chiropractors, tutors, dogwalkers, realtors, personal trainers and babysitters, etc.) with a mobile business management tools to increase the efficacy of (re-) scheduling & revenue collection, and sell available time (their inventory) to existing clients and their friends via social promotion.
