iDevices LLC, an Avon, Conn.-based provider of in app-enablement solutions, raised $4.25m in funding.
The round included a $1.5m investment from Stonehenge Capital, $1.5m from Connecticut Innovations‘ Eli Whitney Equity Fund, and a $1.25m investment from angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to to scale the business, increase inventory, introduce new products and explore new sales channels.
Led by Chris Allen, CEO, iDevices specializes in developing devices that connect wirelessly to smart phones, tablets and computers by leveraging Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi technology. In addition to a custom module and software stack for the Broadcom Bluetooth® Smart chip, the company offers a number of smart products including the iGrill and Kitchen Thermometer, which can be used to monitor the temperature of what users are cooking using the free iDevices Connected app.
In 2011, CI had already invested $150k in iDevices (read here).
