-

ThetaRay, a Jerusalem, Israel-based provider of solutions to protect critical infrastructure, received an investment from Poalim Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of Bank HaPoalim.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

Founded by two mathematicians, Prof. Amir Averbuch of Tel Aviv University, and Prof. Ronald Coifman of Yale, and led by CEO Mark Gazit, ThetaRay provides solutions that identify Zero Day threats and APT attacks, which are covert hostile operations who customize the method to their mark, using malicious code and technical skills that are very difficult to detect or identify.
The company’s solutions have been deployed by large commercial entities, government, and homeland security organizations in Israel and around the world.

ThetaRay had previously received investments from JVP and GE.
