Axine Water Technologies, a Vancouver, Canada-based developer of a solution for treating high concentrations of toxic organics and other pollutants in industrial wastewater, closed a $5.6m Series A financing round.
New California-based investor The Roda Group joined existing investors Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital and BDC Venture Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to progress towards the commercialization of its wastewater treatment technology.
Led by Jonathan Rhone, President & CEO, Axine has developed a chemical-free solution for treating high concentrations of problematic, toxic organics, ammonia, and other pollutants in industrial wastewater solving a problem for large companies in a wide range of industries (oil & gas, refining, chemical production, and other heavy industries).
Over the past 12 months, the company has worked with industry leaders in oil & gas, refining, waste management, and chemical processing to verify and benchmark its technology.
