Venture capital firm DFJ promoted Heidi Roizen to a new Operating Partner position at the firm.
In this new role, Roizen will oversee talent, marketing, business development and investment support roles at DFJ. She will also work with DFJ’s portfolio companies to provide strategic advice, manage portfolio investments and help identify new investment opportunities.
Ms. Roizen currently serves on the boards of TiVo and DMGT, as well as DFJ portfolio companies XTime, Eventful and ShareThis.
For the firm, which has worked with companies at seed, early and growth stages since 1985, this announcement follows the successful close of DFJ Venture XI, a $325M fund focused on early-stage venture capital investments. It focuses on fields inclding machine learning, mobile applications, cloud computing, business applications, robotics, satellites, synthetic biology, communications and intelligent devices (read their recent post here).
