SmartAsset, a New York-based technology platform that provides instant, personalized answers to complex financial questions, closed a $5.2m Series A financing.
The round was led by Javelin Venture Partners with participation from Denis Grosz, SV Angel and Brendan Wallace, founder of Identified.
The company intends to use the funds to further expand and improve its solution, grow its team and increase current marketing efforts.
Launched in 2012 by Michael Carvin, CEO, SmartAsset applies financial modeling technology to provide consumers with home buying, refinancing, student loan, insurance, retirement and credit card solutions to make fact-based decisions.
The platform currently helps answer 79 questions including those related to life-changing financial decisions like home buying, going back to school, retirement planning, etc.
