Kinetic Social, a NYC-based provider of a social data ad platform, raised $18m in Series B financing.
The round was led by Blue Chip Venture Company.
The company intends to use the funds for technology enhancements and product extensions associated with its SaaS offering and its proprietary engagement engine and continue to develop new technologies connected with its Facebook and Twitter partnerships.
Led by Don Mathis, CEO and Co-Founder, Kinetic provides clients with a social data and marketing technology platform that analyzes social context data, aggregated from a universe of digital sources, and enables insights and predictive modeling to find the most effective full-funnel marketing solutions.
In a related transaction, Kinetic Social completed the second and final phase of its Management-led Buyout (MBO) associated with the founding in 2011.
