Mcor Technologies Ltd, a Co Louth, Ireland-based manufacturer of a line of desktop paper-based 3D printers, raised $12m in growth capital.
The round was led by Wheb.
The company intends to use the funds to expand globally.
Established in 2004 by Dr. Conor MacCormack, CEO, Mcor Technologies manufactures affordable, full-colour and eco-friendly 3D printers. They use ordinary business A4 and letter paper as the build material, a choice that renders durable, stable and tactile models.
The company, which operates internationally from offices in Ireland, the UK and the US, reported continued phenomenal growth during the past year, with increases of 227% in the sales and distribution channel, and 308% in sales of their unique low cost, True Colour, professional-quality 3D printers.
