Percentil.com, a Madrid, Spain-based online children’s clothing consignment shop, raised €1m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Active Venture Partners, with participation from Cabiedes & Partners and international business angels.
The company intends to use the funds to scale the business for European expansion and extension of its offer to incorporate womens’ clothing.
Founded in 2012 by Luis Ongil, Lourdes Ferrer and Daniel Bezares, with operations in Spain, Germany and France, Percentil has built a convenient consignment shop that buys nearly-new kids clothing from families, applies quality controls and markets garments on-line. It also takes cares of all operations from pick-up to delivery including strict quality controls.
The company currently has a team of 34 professionals and markets 60,000 garments in its on-line store, which have received more than 40,000 orders from 15,000 customers.
