My Digital Shield, a Wilmington, DE-based provider of Security-as-a-Service (SECaaS) for small businesses, secured $500k in seed funding.
Backers included Litera Investments and a group of private investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its security offerings, build out the team, establish more reseller relationships, and grow sales efforts.
Founded in 2013 by Andrew Bagrin, chief executive officer, My Digital Shield (MDS) provides cloud-based security technology designed to eliminate the risks posed by hackers, cyber ransomers, and other dark Internet forces looking to bring down networks and steal critical data. The company also offers a certified channel partnership program for resellers (VARs), solution providers, and managed service providers (MSPs).
Current customers and users include small businesses across multiple industries, including retail, restaurants, hospitality, and professional services.
