SharpSpring, a Gainesville, FL-based provider of comprehensive sales and marketing management systems, has been acquired by SMTP, Inc. (NASDAQ:SMTP), a global provider of email delivery services.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Led by Rick Carlson, President, SharpSpring was funded through the Institute’s Seed Capital Accelerator Program at the end of 2012.
With technology developed at the University of Florida, SharpSpring provides small-to-medium businesses with cloud-based marketing software to allow marketers to streamline the lead generation and sales process.
