Starteed Group Srl, a Turin, Italy based provider of tech solutions for crowdfunding, raised its first funding round.
Backers included Alessandro Chiaffredo (Chief Executive Officer of Bakeca Spa), Paolo Sbuttoni (Innovation Coach & Marketing Consultant) and an undisclosed private equity investor.
The amount was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to grow internationally and bolster the product development and client support teams.
CO-founded in 2012 by Claudio Bedino, Edoardo Benedetto and Claudio Fruttero, Starteed today provides customized solution for “do-it-yourself” crowdfunding campaigns and creates reward and equity based platform leveraging a white-label technology.
To date, over €700k have been raised via creative, social and cultural campaigns on Starteed. The company is currently involved in developing several platforms for Italian and foreign companies and institutions including three equity crowdfunding platforms authorized by Consob.
Following a grant by TIM #WCAP in 2013, Starteed has been chosen by Telecom Italia Spa to create and manage an equity crowdfunding platform dedicated to startups within the TIM #WCAP program itself (it will be launched is expected by the end of 2014) and a donation-reward portal focused on raising funds for cultural, social and environmental initiatives.
