CyActive, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based predictive cyber security startup, received a strategic investment from the venture capital Unit of Siemens, SFS VC.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds for research and development, expansion of marketing and sales, and growth of North American presence.
Founded in 2013 by CEO Liran Tancman and CTO Shlomi Boutnaru, CyActive provides customers with a solution that predicts and prevents future attacks by forecasting the future of malware evolution, based on bio-inspired algorithms and an understanding of the black hats’ hacking process.
Used by large enterprises, utilities and medical devices segments, its platform independent solution supports a variety of operating systems and network protocols, and includes a network appliance (inspecting industrial SCADA communication) and endpoint agents residing on the Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
The vc arm of of Siemens joined Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), as an investor in the CyActive.
