Akeneo, a Nantes, France-based developer of open-source software, raised $2.4m in funding.
Venture capital firm Alven Capital made the investment joining previous backers Kima Ventures and Nestadio Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to strengthen its France-based-based technical teams to develop its solutions and expand in Germany and the USA.
Created in 2013 by Frédéric Gombert and Yoav Kutner, Akeneo provides open-source product information management (PIM) software designed for the multichannel needs of retailers.
The company employs fifteen full-time people and twelve partners in Germany, Australia, the Netherlands and the US.
