Roli, a London, UK-based music technology startup, raised $3.7m (approximately £2.3m) in Series A follow on funding round.
Hong Kong-based Horizons Ventures made the investment.
The company, which had previously raised $12.8m (£7.6m) in the same round (read here), intends to use these funds to expand operations in Asia and to research alternative strategies for the production of its GRAND.
Led by Founder and CEO Roland Lamb, Roli offers the Seaboard GRAND, a new musical instrument that aims to reimagine the piano keyboard as a soft, continuous surface by blending tradition and digital technology. The company currently has over 50 current employees, with staff also based in the Far East and New York.
