Mainframe2, a Menlo Park, Calif-based platform for developers and businesses to manage their apps, raised $2.2m in seed funding.
The round was led by Columbus Nova Technology Partners, with participation from existing angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds for development of its app streaming technology and to scale its operations.
Led by Dr. Nikola Bozinovic, founder and CEO, Mainframe2 provides a cloud-based platform that allows developers and businesses to manage their Windows apps — from a single dashboard. Its technology enables any software to run in a browser, with no plugins required, and automates tasks including on-boarding new applications, provisioning compute resources, scaling, analytics and logs, software entitlement, etc.
Mainframe2 also connects to third party components, like storage or identity services.
