Chukong Technologies Receives Investment from Qualcomm

logo-chukong-smallChukong Technologies, a Beijing, China-based mobile entertainment platform provider, received an investment of undisclosed amount from Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM).

The company is expected to be funded through the company’s $150M strategic Chinaventure fund that was announced earlier in 2014. The investment is part of a Qualcomm commitment to invest an aggregate of $40m into four Chinese companies and the China Walden Venture Investments, L.P. fund.

Chukong Technologies operates an innovative mobile entertainment platform, offering a full suite of solutions and services to enable developers worldwide to develop, publish and monetize content and providing an engaging mobile entertainment experience to users. It creates and maintains the Cocos2D-x game engine, CocoStudio tool set and CocoaChina.com community.

With offices in Beijing, Menlo Park, Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei, the company employs 800+ people.
