Iterable, a San Francisco, CA-based email growth hacking and marketing automation platform for eCommerce companies, raised $1.2m in seed funding.
Backers included Merus Capital, 645 Ventures, TEEC Angels, 500 Startups, Yun-Fang Juan, and ex-Googler Thomas Korte.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the business and increase headcount to build new growth hacking and mobile features, such as push notifications and SMS support.
Launched in March 2013 by CEO Justin Zhu and Andrew Boni, Iterable provides marketing tools for engineers to integrate with existing systems and for non-coders to create advanced email campaigns that engage the end user.
The company has a roster of consumer clients onboard including BetterDoctor, EAT24, Dot & Bo, Next Glass & MEMEBOX.
It currently employs 7 people.
