Apptimize, a Menlo Park, CA-based provider of optimization tools for mobile applications, closed a $4m Series A funding round.
The round, which brought total funding to $6m, after a $2.1m seed round in January 2014, was led by Costanoa Venture Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform.
Led by Nancy Hua, CEO, Apptimize operates a platform to optimize native Android and iOS applications by enabling product managers, designers, marketers, and developers to make instant updates to their mobile app without having to code or redeploy their app.
The platform, which is used by Vevo, HotelTonight, Glassdoor, Strava, and Flipagram, among others, offers A/B testing, Instant Updates, a codeless installation process, a programmatic interface that enables app developers to test anything they can code.
Other features include analytics, feature flagging, staged rollout, results segmentation and filtering, and advanced targeting.
