Zimperium Closes $12M Series B Funding

image Zimperium, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of mobile threat defense solutions, closed a $12m Series B round of funding.

The round was led by Telstra, Australian provider of mobile phones, mobile devices, home phones and broadband internet, and current customer of Zimperium, with participation from new investor TOYO Corporation and existing investors Sierra Ventures, Lazarus Israel Opportunities Fund and Samsung.

The company intends to use the funds to scale operations, continue to advance the technology and support its customer base.

Founded in 2010 and led by Shridhar Mittal, CEO, Zimperium provides the Mobile Threat Defense, which uses patented, behavior-based analytics that continuously run on the device to protect mobile devices against WiFi, cellular and host-based cyberattacks for iOS and Android devices.
