Rubrik, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a converged data management platform to eliminate backup software, raised $10m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from John W. Thompson (Microsoft Chairman, Symantec Former CEO), Frank Slootman (ServiceNow CEO, Data Domain Former CEO) and Mark Leslie (Leslie Ventures, Veritas Founding CEO).
Co-founded by Bipul Sinha, CEO, Arvind Jain, Vice President of Engineering, Soham Mazumdar, Architect, and Arvind Nithrakashyap, CTO, Rubrik offers live data access for recovery and application development by combining enterprise data management with web-scale IT, eliminating backup software and giving businesses the opportunity to manage the explosion of data across private and public clouds.
The company has just launched an early access program for its converged data management platform and is already working with a number of customers and partners.
It is hiring.
