CafeX Closes $21M Series B Funding

CafeX Communications LogoCafeX Communications, a NYC-based provider of real-time engagement solutions for mobile and web platforms, closed on $21M in Series B funding.

Backers included participation from Intel Capital (read here our news), a subsidiary of USAA, Illuminate Ventures and other angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to increase its development, engineering, sales and marketing efforts.

Founded in 2013 and led by Rami Musallam, chief executive officer, and Dan Solito, chief operating officer, CafeX provides a cloud-ready software platform that leverages WebRTC technology to enable contextual real-time communication experiences within enterprise applications. Its Live Assist® solution, suitable for cloud-based and on-premises environments, enhances mobile applications and websites with HD video chat, co-browsing, context passing and other real-time capabilities to facilitate omnichannel collaboration for business-to-consumer, business-to-business and intra-company interactions.
