Sumo Logic Raises $80M in Funding

sumologicSumo Logic, a Redwood City, CA-based cloud-native machine data analytics platform, raised $80m in funding.

The round was led by DFJ Growth and new investor Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) with participation from existing investors Greylock Partners, Sequoia Capital, Sutter Hill Ventures and Accel Partners.

The company, which has raised a total of $160.5m, intends to use the funds to grow across the business, spanning engineering, sales and global operations.

Led by Ramin Sayar, president & CEO, Sumo Logic provides a cloud-based machine data analytics service for users to gain instant insights into the pool of machine data across DevOps, IT ops and compliance and security environments.
It serves over 500 enterprise customers including Medallia, WebJet, Betfair, PagerDuty, JetBlue, McGraw-Hill and GoGo Inflight.
