The funds will be used to commercialize the company’s product line of large high-performance, multi-touch in-glass displays. These systems will initially target the education, gaming, hospitality and digital signage markets. At the same time, FlatFrog is accelerating the development of high-performance optics-based multi-touch kits and subsystems designed for smaller form-factor, high-volume consumer electronics products such as all-in-one computers, notebooks and tablet/slate devices.
Commenting on the funding, Christer Fåhraeus, Executive Chairman and founder of FlatFrog, was reported to say: “We will use this funding to keep fueling technology innovations in Hands-on computing, providing leading OEM brands with new product platforms and supporting ISVs to develop new applications”.
