TradingView, a Chicago, IL-based online platform for amateur, professional investors and traders to share insights and ideas, raised $3.6m in Series A funding round.
The round was led by iTech Capital with participation from other seed investors and angels. iTech Capital’s Managing Partner, Gleb Davidyuk and Portfolio Manager, Alex Telnov will both join the TradingView Board as executive directors.
The company intends to use the funds to develop and launch new services, including localization, as well as expanding their sales and marketing efforts to enhance customer acquisition activities and implement new data feeds.
Launched in 2012 by Stan Bokov, COO, TradingView is a social FinTech platform where amateur and professional investors and traders share insights and ideas in real-time, free of charge.
The site currently features over 500,000 monthly active users from 100 countries.
In addition to its trading community, the company produces financial charts with data that are used by over 4,000 financial portals and websites such as Investopedia, InstaForex, DailyFX, etc.
