Apprenda, a Troy, NY-based enterprise Platform as a Service (PaaS), raised $24m in new funding.
The round, which brought total financing to date to $56m, was led by Safeguard Scientifics (NYSE:SFE), with participation from New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Ignition Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to hire new members for its engineering, product, client services and sales teams.
Led by Sinclair Schuller, CEO and co-founder, Apprenda provides an enterprise Platform as a Service (PaaS) powering enterprise software development in public, private and hybrid clouds. With the PaaS, enterprise development teams can deliver an ecosystem of data, services, applications and APIs to internal and external customers across any infrastructure. It is used by large banks like JPMorgan Chase, healthcare organizations including McKesson and AmerisourceBergen, etc.
