Kitchfix, a Chicago, IL-based healthy meal delivery service, raised a $450k round of financing.
The round was led by Ken Leonard with participation from additional Chicago-area angel investors.
The company, which has raised $750k in total funding, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.
Led by Josh Katt, founder and CEO, Kitchfix creates chef-crafted food made with nutrient, locally sourced, organic, gluten, dairy and soy-free foods. The meal delivery service allows customers to order online and have meals delivered to their home, office and gym in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs.
The company also announced that its first retail store will open on August 21 on State St. in Chicago’s Gold Coast.
