iboss, a San Diego, CA-based cybersecurity company, raised $35m in Series A funding.
Goldman Sachs’ Private Capital Investing group made the minority investment. In conjunction with it, Stephen Kerns, Vice President in Goldman Sachs’ Private Capital Investing group, will be joining iBoss’ board.
The company intends to use the funds for to develop technology, including the rollout of its new cloud platform, while continuing to expand globally.
Led by Paul Martini, CEO, iboss provides technology that prevents hackers from stealing sensitive information by detecting suspicious network traffic movement and stopping malicious data transfers. By actively monitoring all network traffic, the cloud solution can prevent large-scale data breaches caused by malware that has made its way into the network and is to steal data.
