Quantum Imaging Raises £4.6M in Series A Funding

quantum_logoQuantum Imaging Ltd., a Leeds, UK-based medical device company, raised £4.6m in Series A funding.

Backers included IP Group, the University of Leeds, members of the management team of Quantum Imaging and a number of new investors.

The company intends to use the funds for further development of its imaging technology.

Led by Steve Parker, CEO, Quantum Imaging was spun out of the University of Leeds in 2014 to commercialize imaging technology developed in the university’s Quantum Information group. The company, which has completed two clinical studies providing evidence and the basis for further product development, is initially focused on the rapid triage of patients with chest pain.
