Vera, a Palo Alto, CA-based platform for securing and sharing all forms of business information, closed $17m Series B funding.
The round was led by Sutter Hill Ventures, with participation from existing investors Battery Ventures, Clear Venture Partners, and Amplify Partners. As part of the financing, Stefan Dyckerhoff, Managing Director at Sutter Hill Ventures will join Vera’s board of directors.
The company, which has raided over $31M in total funding to date, intends to use the funds to continue to expand its sales and marketing capabilities and accelerate research and development of its platform.
Led by Ajay Arora, CEO and Co-founder, Vera provides an Information Rights Management-as-a-Service platform (IRMaaS), a security solution that allows users to secure and track any type of digital information across all devices, applications, and platforms in real-time.
Publicly launched in April 2015, the company serves users at Fortune 500 companies in the financial services, media and entertainment, manufacturing, and technology sectors. Vera has already partnered with technology innovators, such as Dropbox, Okta, and Centrify, while announcing strategic integrations with Box, VMware, and Microsoft within the last months.
