Landesk, a Salt Lake City, UT-based provider of a platform that integrates and automates IT tasks, is to acquire AppSense, a provider of secure user environment management solutions.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Led by Steve Daly, CEO, Landesk is a portfolio company of private equity firm Thoma Bravo that provides solutions that allows organizations to balance user requirements with the need to secure critical assets and data.
The acquisition, Landesk’s seventh in five years, aims to advance its position in Unified Endpoint Management by extending capabilities to include both physical and virtual devices and eliminating the need for separate tools and processes.
AppSense also brings advanced endpoint protection capabilities to the company’s portfolio.
Established in 1999 and led by Scott Arnold, president and CEO, AppSense provides user virtualization technology that allows IT in healthcare, banking, and finance to secure and simplify control of physical, virtual and cloud-delivered desktops.
