ClearlySo, a London, UK-based impact investment bank, raised £1.25m in growth funding.
The round was led by Octopus Ventures, which has taken a 12.3% stake in the company becoming its largest single institutional investor, with participation from existing investors including Big Society Capital, and eight new angel investors. In conjunction with the funding, Octopus Co-Founder Chris Hulatt will join ClearlySo’s board as a non-executive director.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand operations.
Led by Rodney Schwartz, founder and chief executive officer, ClearlySo is an impact investment bank, working exclusively with businesses and funds delivering positive social, ethical and/or environmental impact along with financial return.
Originally founded in 2008, the company has supported nearly 100 clients in raising more than £100 million in impact investment from its network of high-net-worth individual and institutional investors.
