L.A. Aloe LLC, a Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based maker of a line of certified organic aloe water beverages called Aloe Gloe, received a minority investment from the Venturing & Emerging Brands (VEB) unit of The Coca-Cola Company.
Founded in 2011 by Danny Stepper and CEO Dino Sarti, certified organic, non-GMO, kosher and gluten free Aloe Gloe is available in four flavors: Crisp Aloe, Coconut, Lemonade and White Grape.
Introduced in 2012, Aloe Gloe now has a major presence in Southern California and the New York area and is also available in 20,000 stores nationwide including Sprouts, Kroger, Safeway and many independent grocers and convenience stores.
The investment by Coca-Cola deepens the company’s existing relationship with Aloe Gloe and gives VEB a further entry in the segment for plant-based beverages.
