Konsus, a Palo Alto, CA- and Oslo, Norway-based startup that gives users 24/7 access to on-demand freelancers to help them get the job done via Slack, received an investment from the Slack Fund.
The Slack Fund is an investment fund started by Slack, in partnership with Accel, Index Ventures, KPCB, Social Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Spark Capital to support teams building products on top of Slack “that enable simpler, more pleasant, and more productive workplaces“.
Launched in August of 2015 by Fredrik Thomassen (1) and Sondre Rasch (2), Konsus provides a supervised global workforce to aid in the quick and easy completion of virtually any office task, from PowerPoint enhancements and data entry, to full scale web design. Project managers perform strict quality control over all deliverables. The platform now provides on-demand business support for over 500 companies.
The company joined Y Combinator in January 2016.
(1) Fredrik Thomassen is the former co-founder and CEO of Zalora Indonesia and consultant with McKinsey & Company. He is a graduate of the Norwegian School of Economics and London School of Economics.
(2) Sondre Rasch is the co-founder of SolidHost.com and a policy advisor with the Norwegian parliament. He is a computer and information science graduate of the University of Bergen, and the Norwegian School of Economics.
